Dr. Manivasakam brings to VESTI Intelligence Corp over 20 years of experience in drug discovery and translational medicine. His expertise includes pharmacogenomics, high throughput screening and reverse pharmacology of Indian traditional medicine. He co-founded IndUS Pharmaceuticals, which was later merged with Napo Pharmaceuticals. His research at IndUS was focused on early stage drug discovery related to diabetes, infectious diseases and cancer. Prior to working at IndUS, Dr. Manivasakam worked as a Senior Fellow at CombinatoRx where he designed and implemented high throughput cellular assays in the areas of arthritis, inflammation and cancer. Before joining CombinatoRx, he was a Visiting Scientist at the Department of Cancer Biology, Harvard School of Public Health, where his research was focused on gene targeting in yeast and mammalian cells. Dr. Manivasakam has 7 issued and over 32 published patents.

Dr. Manivasakam received his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Alberta in Canada. He was trained at the International Crop Research Institute (ICRISAT), and he earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Agriculture.
